Wave the Flag!

2012 is a great year for being patriotic. We have the London Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee this year.

So to celebrate why not treat yourself to some new hair clips just listed in my etsy shop.

New Headbands

I have just listed some of the head bands.  Each one is individually cut and sewn by me.

Here is a quick view of them.

Yes, my model is a very cheeky girl. Also quite patient while her mamma takes shot after shot.

The last headband is available in two colourways so far. I haven't listed it tonight but will do tomorrow.

Children's Workshop

On Sunday I was fortunate to have a craft stall at the Love Southsea Market in the wonderful setting of the Square Tower in Old Portsmouth.

I also did the children's workshop which had the theme of Valentine.  I had the idea of having them make felt hearts, and cut out the pieces and made one as an example.

It is very simple design and soon I will do a tutorial for you.

The workshop was a great success and I am sure the children enjoyed themselves and it was nice for them to have something they were able to take home with them.

I would love to do more of these and I am actually thinking of doing children's parties - where I visit people's houses and do a little sewing workshop for the children. Good idea?

Getting Ready for the Fair

I have bought these lovely tags from Paperspill.  They are the perfect size for my stamped name.  On the other side I can write the price.

When I use the stamp I colour it with pens and that way I can get the two colour effect.

Quality Controlling My Self

I made this tweed brooch a couple of months ago. I like it lots. It is based on a polyanthus or primrose.

But I was not happy with the back.  But I left it, thinking I must do something.

 As I mentioned, I am attending a craft fair on Sunday so I was sorting through and labelling my stock.  The brooch glared at me 'do something now', it said.

So I did.

New Things

I haven't posted anything I have made in some while.  Because I haven't made anything. At least not for my shop.  But I have a craft fair coming up at the weekend so thought I would crack on with sewing.

So here are a few things I have made.  If they do not sell then I have more stock for my etsy shop so it is a win win situation.
